Doji and Marubozu
  • Doji: A candle with no body. A perfect balance between bulls and bears. Indicates that the current trend is exhausting.
  • Marubozu: Huge full-bodied candle without shadows. The strongest sign of one side dominating the market.
Single reversals
  • Hammer (Pin bar): Small body and long lower shadow. Bullish signal, buyers bought the dip.
  • Shooting Star: Mirror of the Hammer. Long upper shadow at the trend top — sellers took over the initiative.
Multi‑candle reversals
  • Bullish Engulfing / Piercing Line: Strong bullish signals. The bullish candle completely engulfs the bearish one (or breaks through its midpoint via a gap).
  • Bearish Engulfing / Dark Cloud Cover: Bearish signals of trend exhaustion. Sellers aggressively push the price down.
  • Morning Star and Evening Star: Classic three‑candle patterns (Impulse -> Doji pause -> Reversal).
  • Three White Soldiers / Three Black Crows: A cascade of three full‑bodied candles in the same direction. Confirmation of a macro‑trend reversal.
