What is the weakness of regular divergences?

Divergence (a discrepancy between the price and indicator readings) is an excellent precursor to a reversal. However, traders often incur losses by trying to trade a divergence against a strong global trend. An oscillator can remain in an oversold zone for a long time, generating false signals while the price continues to drop.

Solution: Multi-Timeframe Filter (MTF)

To eliminate false entries, our scanner utilizes timeframe synchronization. Every identified divergence is automatically checked for alignment with the macro trend, which is determined by exponential moving averages (EMA) on a higher-order chart.

Trend verification architecture

• Short-term trades (M5, M15) - are verified against the 1-hour trend (H1).
• Medium-term trades (M30) - are verified against the 4-hour chart (H4).
• Position trades (H1, H4) - must align with the global direction of the day (D1).
• Daily signals (D1) - are filtered by the weekly macro trend (W1).

How to read the table?

• 🟩 Trend Confirmed: The most reliable setup. The divergence signals the end of a correction and a return to the primary global trend. High probability of success.
• 🟥 Counter-trend: The signal is directed against the global move. It represents an attempt to 'catch a falling knife'. Suitable only for aggressive scalping with a tight stop.
